Beavers are the youngest members of the Scouting family, aged between 6 and 8. They usually meet for about an hour per week and despite being the youngest section, the adventure really does start here.
Beavers are introduced to outdoor activities, have the opportunity to be creative, explore their community and take part in Beaver sleepovers. Beavers will get a chance to try a wide range of different activities as well as going on trips, days out, and on sleepovers. Participation rather than meeting set standards is the key approach, although there are a range of challenge awards and badges available that Beavers can gain during their time in the section to recognise their achievements.
